Book Review: Thief of Corinth by Tessa Afshar

Rating: ★★★★ 4 star read

Thief of Corinth by Tessa Afshar was a truly captivating read. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, particularly Ariadne and Theo, whose personalities and growth were beautifully portrayed. A few highlights:
⭐️ This book was a delightful, quick read. The writing is straightforward yet modern, making it easy to follow. The story blends humor, quirkiness, and adventure seamlessly, with just the right touch of romance to keep things engaging.
💕 The characters are incredibly well-developed, and you can tell the author put a lot of effort into researching the historical background. I especially loved how she compared the two ancient cities of Athens and Corinth, adding depth to the story and immersing readers in the time period.
However, I do have one small critique: I would have loved to see more interactions between Ariadne and Paul. Towards the end of the book, the story felt a bit rushed, particularly in regard to their relationship. I felt that their interactions, which were key to Ariadne's spiritual growth and transformation, didn’t receive the attention they deserved. It would have been enriching to see more of how her encounters with Paul shaped her faith and personal journey, rather than focusing solely on the final plot of the theft.

Overall, though, Thief of Corinth is a memorable and heartwarming story with well-crafted characters and a beautiful message. I highly recommend it!
